Directorate General Personnel of E-in-C's Branch deals with all personnel matters in respect of MES Civilians personnel except training, vigilance and discipline. The broader Charter of Duty of Pers Dte includes:-

• Planning of posting of all offrs of MES Cadre, Policy framing on posting matters, Handling appeals/ requests on posting matters.
• Progressing deputation / absorption cases.
• DPC of various caders.
• Handle Court case filed by MES Civilian officers on all subjects except D&V cases and APAR.                                 
• Dealing with court cases by MES subordinates.
• Compassionate appointment of dependents of deceased Govt servant.
• Retirement benefits-pension/DCRG/Computation of pension/ invalid pension/Family pension.
• Framing of Service Rules & Recruitment Rules for civilian cadres of MES.
• Nodal secfor RTI applic tion and appendix pertaining to E-in-C Branch.
• Making of Cadre Review proposals and processing the same for all groups of employees.
• The online monitoring of public grievances for speedy redressal.
